BACKGROUND INFO

In January 2006 I became self employed and launced Julie Wright Photographic. The aims behind my ideas was to use the experience I had gained previously as a single parent, Community Development Manager, Youth Worker and Junior football coach to document positive images of family life.

It was my Mother who inspired me to take the photography further as a means to coping with caring duties after her cancer diagnosis in 2005. My husband allowed me to sacrifice a salary, and my Dad has been on hand to help us out...thank goodness. My daughters live thousands of miles away, but keep me going and make me proud. Support from family, freinds and colleagues has made it possible for me to develop my work.

My personal experiences have given me a great understanding of what is important to remember, this is what my work is about.

I hope to give you a positive experience not just a set of images

My friends and family are very dear to me, and I have images and DVD's that I often look at and enjoy more each time. If I can give you something that I get from the work I do, then I'm happy.

Experience working with children and families gives me an edge when it comes to capturing natural and relaxed images. I call this honest imagery and it becomes precious to members of the family as the years go by.

Packages start from £60 at your home or a favourite location. I will visit you and show you examples of work and customer testimonials, then book a date that is convenient to you. The images are supplied to you on Disc and you can purchase the copyright or order prints from me.

OCCASSIONS

I take pride in giving you images that give you positive memories.

Photographing an occassion is a chance for me to enjoy my work a great deal. Weddings, Christenings, Birthday Parties (young & older),Hen nites, work social events, anniversaries, you get the idea. I can offer a once a year commission when your family or friends are all in one place at one time. You can build up a libary of printed images in hard back books that document your lifestyle over time.

Images can be presented in many formats including Hard Back Books, T- shirts, collages etc. I offer creative ideas for your images as part of my service.

Digital Learning Projects

The following images were taken by participants

of the Get Focused Digital Learning Projects

across the Tees Valley. Age range 7 - 18 years.

It is my pleasure to be able to work with community groups, including Sure Start and especially the families and young people, to show how photography can promote emotional well being, IT skills, confidence and positive memories. It can assist in creative thinking and appreciation of their local environment and services / facilities available to them.

Every Project is individually devised to meet the aims

of the client organisation or community group.

Projects are designed with diversity and inclusion in mind.

Projects are easily adapted to groups age, ability and chosen themes.

Encouraging ownership of the project by it's participants,

and keeping a positive angle to the work and learning carried out
